There’s a new concept store in Bangsar Village 2. Opened a mere 3 days ago. It’s located on the ground floor right in front of the information counter near Delicious. Called H5 and you know immediately you’re in for something different as you enter, starting with the wicked KAWS toys and shaolin favourites Fei Yue shoes and minimal black and white interior. Bangsar is hotting up!Â
We wrote about Nooka watches a while ago and now after much cross continental drooling this have-to-have hardware finally has a home in KL. It’s all down to owner Tong Chee Wei, formerly with FJ Benjamin, who’s at the centre of a whole new watch revolution. That’s right. If Starhill has it high end horology in brands like Franck Muller and IWC, Bangsar is fast becoming a centre of highstreet and streetwear names, what with the recent advent of the Juice store and now H5.
Named H5, H for Haute and 5, Chee Wei’s lucky number, H5 carries a wide range of Nooka watches, which kind of made us feel like a kid in a candy store – we were fortunate anough to score ourself one (ahem). H5 also carries brands namely Lip, Noon Copenhagen and Starck with Fossil. The geek watch subculture has landed. About time too.
