VIDEO: The 1975’s ‘Love Me’
Based on the pink hue of the video and the band’s visual identity, The 1975 has certainly departed from their black and white aesthetic that they’ve debuted to the world with. Their musical direction has taken a slight turn as well following the tone of their look; brighter and much more pop-inclined. The video for their lead single ‘Love Me’ off their sophomore I Like It When You Sleep for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It sees them in a less severe temperament — the band members are dressed in ’80s garb, lead singer Matthew Healy is shirtless, channeling Mick Jagger with slinky Micheal Jackson moves as he belligerently interacts with celebrity cutouts.
