As the actual Nardwuar was recently discharged from the hospital’s stroke unit, Matt Mondanile of Real Estate and Ducktails teamed up with Saturday Night Live‘s Kyle Mooney to parody a typical Nardwuar interview. Usually, Nardwuar would present thoughtful, rare gifts to his guests based on some obscure facts and interests about the artistes. But here, Kyle Mooney’s Nardwuar is less thorough in his research and less earnest in his gift-giving as he adamantly believes that rapper Master P is Mondanile’s brother, keeps latching on to Mondanile’s New Jersey roots, and makes constant references to real estate.
