Based out of Massachusetts, this Berklee-trained foursome seem set on bringing a rock-driven mindset back into popular conscience. Think At The Drive-In or the Marmozets without the screams, juxtaposed with straight-up indie melodies — a harder-hitting, more complex Bombay Bicycle Club (without the synths). At least, that’s what popped into our heads when we first heard ‘Angling’. It’s frantic to say the least; the interwoven guitar parts and tight drumming complement Cory Best’s enervated vocals in ways that we never thought of before.
