Having premiered this track almost a week ago, OKAY KAYA has now indulged us with the beautifully simplistic video that matches in tone with the song, but honestly speaking, it is also due in part to Kaya’s perfect facial symmetry. Produced by Rodaidh McDonald, whose production cred includes How To Dress Well, King Krule and The xx , a bluesy guitar twang grounds her voice as she laments about her lover “floating away,” blaming some magnetic force that isn’t her. Just as she’s cursing at gravity, the video sees her swiveling about, as if free of any gravitational pull, with her eyes are transfixed onto ours.
