Is it just us or are vampires becoming more polished and better looking as each year passes? Someone bring back Graf Orlok ‘cos it’s been awhile since a vampire crept us out. Lazyboy Empire’s debut track ‘Vampire’ has a jazzy theme to it, no thanks to the saxophone and the vocals that strangely remind us of a less-coarse Adam Levine. Plus, the lyrics make it tough for us not to chuckle a little (“Gimme something real, something more than love, something I can feel, I want to suck your blood“). Throughout the video, the vampire — who looks like he’s on his way to a poetry slam to snap his fingers at poems he likes — is murdering people to feed himself and dancing (very poorly) while he attacks his victims. And seeing as Halloween is this weekend, ‘Vampire’ couldn’t have been released at a more perfect time.
