“Everytime I say something that’s extremely truthful out loud, it literally breaks the internet — so what are we getting all of the rest of the time?”

It came as no surprise when Kanye West appeared on the cover of TIME Magazine‘s 100 Most Influential People issue. The rapper is an acquired taste; you either praise him for his brilliance or throw insults at him because you read gossip sites, but don’t you know by “n-now th-that that don’t kill him, can only make [him] stronger?” One of the few video interviews that Ye isn’t shouting at, the viewer sees a calmer Kanye; a mogul in the music industry, a designer, a devoted husband and father. Not many pop stars today can brag about having real-life Tony Stark figure Elon Musk deigned praise upon them as someone who is constantly thinking and topping the likes of Christopher Nolan, Narendra Modi, Tim Cook, and Pope Francis — a few names that share the same list as the mortal God that is Kanye West (but didn’t make cover).
