We can’t exactly put Hooray for Earth right next to the current crop of synth pop or rock artistes. We mean, if Lorde can win an award meant for rock bands – Aerosmith and Korn included in the list of past winners — Hooray for Earth should probably be shoehorned into death metal now. All jokes aside, the video for the band’s latest single showcases a lonely man having flashbacks and visions in a very Sims-like world – and the song is big, bold and unpretentious. Racy is one of the strongest sophomore outings we’ve heard this past year. You’ll know what we mean when you take a listen to it.
