Singer-songwriter HeyMun Tan is usually associated with the girl-on-an-acoustic-guitar template. Now having bought a KORG NanoKEY2 — part of her new mini studio setup — ‘Light’ is the first result of her dabbling with the hardware, and what a tease it is. At just 1:42 minutes, the track already suggests a promising direction; that her future sound might include a more (subtle) electronic influence. Not bad for a track that is essentially a byproduct of her having fun with a new ‘toy’.
