We think we can all agree that Sam Herring hasn’t got the best voice in the world; what he hasn’t got in terms of falsettos and sweet runs that make you yell, “Yeezus!”, he makes up for with passion and a bucketload of energy. However, Sydney-based trio Mansionair have decided to give us a glimpse of what could have been if Future Islands did have a singer with a little bit more range and smoothness, and we’re extremely pleased with the results. And it’s not just the vocals, everything else sounds positively dope – it’s contemporary sounds at its finest from down under.
