The Vulture Remix series is a great demonstration of what editing can do to bolster humour and more time-wasting on the internet. The series mashes up old and new scenes from a specific film or TV show in an attempt to create a new story angle. Here, Vulture has spliced together scenes from The Flash(es) — one from the early ’90s, and the other the current popular reboot — to imagine a fight between the two lightning fast superheroes. The video starts slightly disjointed and awkward, but an epic fight soon ensues. Even though they’ve essentially just repurposed the battle between millennial Barry Allen and Professor Zoom, it’s still fun to watch in all of its drama.
