A young artist’s struggle is a tale we all know too well. Although the multi-talented Amey Sheikh Ali‘s story contains many similar anecdotes, what makes his particular story worth noting is his identity as an East Malaysian. Coming from a place where it’s significantly less bustling than the national capital city, the documented account of a day in Amey’s life and the art he had done seem all the more impressive. A project by Orgkampong Productions, the documentary profiles Amey, asking him a series of questions that move from the professional to edging closer to the personal, which quickly forms a personable image. This is not just an art documentary but a profile of a talented fledgling artist.
