Back in 2013, Melbourne sextet ALPINE got all the critics to shower them with praises and labels such as ‘Band To Watch’, but it took them two years to resurface again with ‘Foolish’, a track that delightfully reminds us all again of Phoebe Baker’s and Lou James’ harmonious aerial vocals and the band’s distinct indie pop. ‘Foolish’ is quite explanatory as it’s about that perennial “I hate that I love you” conundrum, whereas the video can be described as a hyper real 3D animation of multiple duplicates of Baker and James coolly lounging around in some spectacular vacation setting.
