Fashion’s Prince of Darkness Rick Owens granted the editorial arm of American high-end fashion department store Barneys New York – The Window – into the life of the well-celebrated designer. In accordance to Owen’s design ethos, the video is appropriately shot in black and white, providing some very severe footage. For instance, the cement staircase that manages to look like monoliths in the editing. A few glimpses here and there should be taken literally as he doesn’t provide any sage advice and anecdote about himself and his career, instead we only see snippets of his home and work lives in the silent footage.
