One High You Won’t Forget…
If there’s one thing you shouldn’t be afraid of its clubbing in shopping malls – no longer a cheesy experience thanks to joints like the newly-opened Vertigo. Located on the top floor of The Gardens (next to G6 Club), the open-air entrance is a breezy welcome for clubbers. When you get in, there are 2 rooms with simple yet distinct qualities. Nero is more mainstream and caters to the r’n’b, techno and house crowds while Bianco is more edgy with pop art on its walls, reminding us of the atmosphere that Barsonic is famed for. Speaking of which, people here tend to remind us of old friends we met at TAG nights in the past (except that they are newbies and we’ve never met them before). Both rooms are moderately spacious and the air-conditioning is super-cold. But that doesn’t stop this place from getting packed at times when visiting DJs are spinning.

CLIENTELE A healthy mix of old and young clubbers.

DRINKSForget fancy cocktails. Vertigo is about music and dancing so the drinks here are straight to the point as well. For beers, there are Tiger, Guinness, Kilkenny draught and Heineken bottles. Liquors: Long Island jugs, Jager Bombs, Tequila, Margarita, Hennessy, Vodka and so on.

HAPPY HOURS If you really wanna get sloshed, best to go for the hourly shots promo which happens from 12md-3am. RM100nett for 20 shots of Sex on the Beach and RM50nett for 5 Jager Bombs? Nice.

CLUB NIGHTSBianco: Push & Play (Wed) featuring Asquared and VNRP of Deer Society; Dynamite (Thur) with hip hop DJ Kino; Hype’embeats (Fri) plays techno, fidget, dirty Dutch, electro house and more. NERO: A-Rox & MC Terry (Thur) spins and DVJs hip hop with r’n’b; Camp Fresh (Sat) is a new collective the Phuture Phow and 6-IDE AUM flag.

DRESS CODE Standard clubbing attire (no slippers and shorts for men). The air-con is pretty cold though so it might be a good time to try on that cool-looking winter coat you brought back from overseas.

DOOR POLICY Cover charge Wed-Sat (inc. 1 drink). Wed, RM35. Thu, RM35 (Nero) + RM40 (Bianco). Fri, RM35 men & RM25 ladies (Nero) + RM40 men & RM30 ladies (Bianco). Sat, RM40 men & RM30 ladies (Nero) + RM50 men & RM40 ladies (Bianco).

OPEN Mon – Sun, 8pm – 3.30am.

PARKING Weekdays, first 3 hours RM2. Weekends + Public Holidays, RM3. Every subsequent hour is RM1, no maximum charge.
