If you’ve devoted your life to memorising all there is to know about the Marvel universe and have “visit Marvel office in New York” as part of your bucket list, then this competition has the potential to change your life.
Uniqlo has hosted its global design competition – UTGP – since 2005 with the objective of allowing its audience to express their interests towards the theme of that year and materialise it on its t-shirts. This year’s theme is Marvel. Everyone is invited to participate – there are no age, nationality, or gender preference – the only requirement is for the graphic to be original, as it should be. So, if you’ve ever reimagined what your favourite superhero should look like, here’s the opportunity to create that image and have everyone around the world see it too.
The prize for this year’s UTGP is exceptionally attractive; two winners will be invited to Marvel’s office in New York and will be able to join a Marvel-hosted premiere for Avengers: Infinity War and a small sum of $10,000. Plus, if your design is chosen, it’ll be sold globally at all of Uniqlo’s stores as part of its UT collection, which is one of the biggest stepping stones anyone who enjoys designing/illustrating could ask for. Submissions are open now, so, it’s time to get to work.
