UNIQLO Opens Its Very First Roadside Store In Malaysia & Here’s All You Need To Know About It…
The moment that we’ve all been anticipating is finally here – the one and only first UNIQLO roadside store opening in DA Square located at Sri Bandar Damansara.
The official opening will be held this Friday at 10am and will be having a three-day period of special features that include goodie bags for the first 500 customers and a special UNIQLO tote bag to those who purchase more than RM200 or more in a single transaction.
However, we at JUICE got the opportunity to take a look at the 15,100 square feet store, which is the quarter size of a football field, yesterday along with their brand new clothing items that are exclusively sold here that you can’t get at other UNIQLO outlets.
Upon entering the store, you would be greeted by its roomy interior. The store also offers a one-floor shopping experience, making it convenient for families with children, elderly people and people with disabilities.
The way the interior has been designed also benefits customers who are familiar with UNIQLO products. Customers can quickly locate what they want, with a full-range display of each product category and well-planned, easy-to-cruise sections of the shopping floor.
Apart from that, the location is strategically convenient for locals since it’s nearby residences.
What makes this place more unique compared to the other outlets is that Malaysia is the fifth country outside Japan and the third in Southeast Asia to open a roadside type store.
During an exclusive tour, the highlights of UNIQLO DA Square include the full range of AIRism beddings in different colours along with its very own t-shirt and tote bag customisation point called UTme!. The walls of the store are also decorated with many special options of customisable t-shirts.
Other than that, a sustainability corner is placed in the store to advocate sustainability in fashion as well as to educate customers on how they can contribute to a more sustainable society by participating in UNIQLO’s recycling initiative. However, due to the pandemic, the recycling programme has been suspended but they are still finding new ways to cater to the planet and the people.
Recently, the Japanese apparel retailer provided a clothing corner at a homeless transit centre that provides working attire for vulnerable communities.
All the clothes available there, have also been donated. Furthermore, UNIQLO DA Square also offers brand new feature items like maternity wear and even accessories, which is unique to this particular outlet.
UNIQLO DA Square is open from 10am to 10pm daily.
