UNIQLO Gundam’s 40th Anniversary T-Shirt Collection Comes with Free Model Kits

Mobile Suit Gundam is one of the most iconic franchises in pop culture. Since it’s released back in 1979, the Gundam series defined the “real robot” mecha genre with its captivating stories and of course, the mecha themselves.
On 10 April 2020, UNIQLO will roll out a special collection that celebrates Gundam’s 40th anniversary with the UNIQLO UT x GUNPLA SS20 collection that features graphic t-shirts that comes with a free gunpla exclusive to UNIQLO. Those who purchase 3 or more shirts will get to one free model kit and those who purchase 6 or more will get two.

The model kits appear to based on Amuro Ray’s Gundam RX-78-2 and Char’s MS-06S Zaku II – the protagonist and antagonist from the 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam anime. Both of the kits sport UNIQLO’s unique red and white colour scheme with slick black accents.
