Every week on Thursday, Capital FM 88.9’s Turn It Up gives us a different personalities as guest DJs – both local and international. Past DJs for the month include Zoo Brail and Koen Groeneveld. Come Thursday 26 March, listen out for Jesse Voorn – an electro/house/techno DJ from the Netherlands.
This DJ and producer was born in 1975 in the south of Holland, and grew into music from an early age with his classically trained musician parents. Jesse Voorn started taking piano lessons before he discovered dance music in the 90s. He started with early hip hop records to old school acid, techno and drum ‘n’ bass at small parties. Now, partypeeps are abuzzing with his name everywhere. Jesse Voorn is all about good thrashy house music and man, they are funky enough to make your grandmamma move! This Turn It Up guest DJ is also one of the main Dance4Life ambassadors, a global organisation that spreads awareness about AIDS and HIV.
