Tupac Lives On
Tupac Amaru Shakur is undoubtedly one of the most prolific hip hop artists of our time and losing him was a major loss to the music scene. The deceased legendary rapper is gonna be celebrated at a star-studded birthday celebration and benefit concert. Actor/comedian Mike Epps and Afeni Shakur, the rapper’s mother is joining forces for this good cause with co-host M1 of Dead Prez! It’s going to be a historical hip hop event.
The event was announced by Epp’s Naptown Production at Atlanta, Georgia yesterday. He decided to make time to honour the late rapper’s birthday despite his busy schedule promoting the Funny Bidness DVD, and 2 box-office films, Next Day Air and Janky Promoters. Celebrating Tupac’s birthday with a fund-raising event to support The Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts is going to be off the hook!
The event celebrates the life and legacy that this hip hop great, whose life was taken away on 13 September 1996, has left to the music industry.  The benefit concert will take place at The Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Atlanta. This momentous birthday tribute will feature Ludacris, Ciara, Young Jeezy, Big Boi, MTV’s Day 26, Jim Jones, Polow Da Don and a whole lot more.
Tupac’s mum Afeni added, “This concert celebration is an expression of my gratitude for all of Tupac’s fans for continuing to support and love my son. Pac’s life was a gift from God. We continue to carry on Pac’s legacy via his art and foundation.”
We can’t believe it’s been 13 years. ‘California Love’ still sounds crazy fresh!
