Calling all aspiring artists, creators, and designers from across the region! DC Shoes South East Asia is hosting its first graphic design competition whereby entrants are required to unleash their creativity on a new pair of DC Trase Shoes. This pair of sneakers has a low profile silhouette and a clean upper which serves as a lovely canvas suitable and while DC Shoes does not discriminate any form of art, it is first and foremost a street and skate culture brand, so the visuals have to be related to its identity, so put the glitter gun down, friend.

The winner will be gifted with USD1500 worth of DC apparel and footwear, USD1500 in cash, and best of all, have their design produced in DC’s 2016 shoe collection, which will then be sold throughout its retail stores. In addition to having on overall winner, DC Shoes South East Asia will then choose winners from the participating countries (Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand) who will be given a USD750 gift pack and USD750 in cash – pretty cool, right?

Submissions close on 30 June and designs will be judged by industry professionals: Eric Blevens, DC Shoes Product Line Merchandising Director of Men’s footwear and a triple-board threat – a skateboarder, snowboarder and surfer; Pevi Permana, a professional skate and regarded as one of the best skateboarders Asia has to offer; and lastly Tommy Fynn, a pro for stereo skateboarders and is well informed about street kicks.
