Tocadisco

If you think Dirty Vegas is going to be the dopest act tomorrow at the Dig-It-All music festival, then think again. The picture above of the man suffocating himself is German DJ and producer Tocadisco, who has been spinning in clubs the world over since 1996.

Tocadisco’s professional DJ career started at Düsseldorf’s Unique Club. With the turntable maestro on deck, Unique got voted Best Club of the City several times in Prinz magazine. A remix of Slam’s ‘Lifetimes’ got Tocadisco’s name out there as a formidable producer when the track was voted among the best remixes of that year in the readers’ poll of Groove magazine. Later, Tocadisco entered the international charts with his first single, ‘Nobody (Likes The Records That I Play)’, under his own name.

Like so many other superstar DJs, Tocadisco, which means “turntable” in Spanish, has played for fashion brands like G-Star Jeans and Diesel. In 2008, Tocadisco released his 1st artist album Solo, wrote a song on David Guetta’s album Pop Life and achieved an MTV Award for “Best International Dance 2008”. Now after 13 years of being a professional DJ, over 60 international remixes, 1 album and more than 10 successful singles, the multi-instrumentalist and award winning Tocadisco is finally coming to KL.

Be it remixing artists like Moby, Tiga and New Order or writing successful singles with David Guetta or Fisherspooner, Tocadisco never disappoints. He goes on stage at 11pm right after Dirty Vegas at Dig-It-All at CapSquare, so be sure you’re there to catch the deck domo there.

For now, here a snazzy but chilled-out simple music video from one of his hits called Streetgirls. Booya!
