This Month Take Back Your Community With RockCorps

In case you guys are still uninitiated, RockCorps Malaysia is part of a global volunteer movement under Orange RockCorps that aims to give young people a different outlook of volunteering — you give to receive. What’s exactly you’re getting? A kickass concert. Internationally, artists that have performed for volunteers since RockCorps came into the music scene include Snoop Dogg, Vampire Weekend, Xzibit, Kelly Rowland, Tinie Tempah, Nelly, Nas, Lady Gaga, Akon, David Guetta, Razorlight, The Enemy and N-Dubz.

The campaign RockCorps Malaysia is organising this month, in collaboration with DBKL, is called Take Back Your Community, and as it was with their previous projects, all you have to do is give 4 hours of your time and you’ll be rewarded 1 ticket to the hottest show around next year (details to be announced). The first of which will take place on 11 November at Jalan Kawasan Menjalara A and Jalan Telawi.

For more information regarding the schedule for the list of projects happening this November, check out the schedule below. Each project is looking to get at least 200 volunteers.

Youths can register by emailing their details (Full name, contact number, IC number & email address) to [email protected] or visit their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/RockCorpsMalaysia) and click on the registration tab.

For those aged 15 and below, they can still register as per above, but they have to be accompanied by their parents/guardians during the project and the concert.
