Yes, you heard it right. Superband from Las Vegas, The Killers are hitting Singapore and NOT Malaysia. Why oh why?! The good people at Live Nation have announced the band’s debut in South East Asia on Sunday, 24 January 2010 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. What do we have on that day? Oh yeah, laundry day and reruns of meaningless reality TV series on the tube.
The band who draws the sounds of the 1980s debuted with a killer album (no pun intended) Hot Fuss in 2004 with the single that never dies, ‘Mr. Brightside.’ They have 3 studio albums up their sleeves now and have established them to be one of the most iconic and established bands in the world until today. Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning, Mark Stoermer and Ronnie Vannucci have earned famous fans such as David Bowie and Elton. Don’t forget JUICE too!
Surely we’re bitter that it’s happening in Singapore again, but hey it’s only a 5-hour coach ride to catch this one-night only show! And psst, rumour has it that someone in Malaysia is trying to bring the band in too. Oooh. Fingers crossed guys!
