Few drinks in life are consumed more than these two; coffee to kickstart your lazy mornings, and booze to bring your days to a close. Even fewer places serve a healthy dosage of both. But thankfully, The Good Batch is one of them. Tucked away between several workshops amidst the hustle and bustle of Damansara Uptown, the café retains a rustic, industrial vibe with a modernistic setting overlooking the busy streets.

Steadily gaining a reputation for its delectable brunches, the Good Batch is one of the few outlets around town that serves respectable caffeinated beverages to complement them. Perfectly poached eggs on exquisite smoked salmon, roasted lamb wrapped in roti canai, juicy Portobello mushroom… we could go on about their breakfast dishes for ages. Not forgetting the Hangover Mess – corned beef, capsicums, pan-fried potatoes completed with two free-range eggs and hollandaise sauce – a dish so sinful that it tops your dirty deeds from the previous night. And of course, it’s plated beautifully and instantly grammable, much to the delight of our inner proto-hipster.

JUICE’s favourite part about The Good Batch was of course that, with all-day breakfast, came an all-day bar. Ever wanted a drink to go with your scrambled eggs and ham? Wines, beers, and cocktails are at your mercy all the way through dinner. For those with a fruitier taste, the passion fruit mojito is a must try. Breakfast and booze are a match made in heaven and we can’t help but wonder why barely any outlets go down this path. The Good Batch is destined for good things, and we hope it’s here to stay.
