Bring Home A New Bestie At The ‘Furever Friends’ Adoption Drive

Looking to welcome a whiskered roommate into your life?

Head over to the Furever Friends Cat Adoption Drive on 20 July at Pavilion Damansara Heights. The event runs from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and is part of the larger Furever Friends campaign by SAYS, JUICE, Fly FM and Lumi News.

Held alongside TV3’s Cat Fashion Week, the drive is all about encouraging people to adopt rather than buy, while shining a spotlight on animal welfare.

All the cats waiting for a new home are currently under the care of Pads & Paws KL, a local rescue group that rehabilitates and fosters cats rescued from the streets or given up by previous owners.

Adopting a cat at the event is simple.

Just scan the QR code on site to fill in a quick form. Once approved, there’s an adoption fee of RM150 per cat or RM250 for a pair, plus a signed agreement before you take your furry friend home. A refundable deposit of RM100 is also collected for each kitten, returned after proof of spaying or neutering. Older kittens have already been fixed.

Don’t forget to bring your own pet carrier. If you don’t have one on hand, Pads & Paws KL can hold your new pet until you come back with a carrier.

Beyond the adoption drive, TV3’s Cat Fashion Week offers plenty to keep families entertained, including a feline catwalk, face painting and a photo booth. The campaign will wrap up with Malaysia’s first-ever televised cat fashion competition, airing on TV3 at 9pm on August 17.
