Someone Left a Coffee Cup On-Set in Game of Thrones.. and the Internet Reacts!
You would think that after taking two years to prepare the latest season of Game of Thrones, they would’ve spotted a goddamn coffee cup in Winterfell, huh?
During last Monday’s premiere of ‘The Last of the Starks’ episode, while some of the characters were in a conversation at the great hall, a mysterious modern coffee cup made an appearance on the table. In fact, it was right in front of Arya Stark.
Eagle-eyed viewers were quick to call out the mistake and soon, hilarious comments started flooding online. HBO responded by making fun of itself, stating that, “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea,” in a press release on Tuesday.
Based on the size and shape of the beverage, many fans assumed it was a Starbucks cup and just like that, #Starkbucks was trending on Twitter for a hot minute. Starbucks must be delighted with all the free publicity but it turns out, the cup wasn’t even from them. It’s from a local coffee shop in Northern Ireland.
What makes it even funnier is how the audience reacted to it, take a look at some of our faves:

Well, it’s hard to keep a good series from turning stale, and GoT has had a great run so far, so we hope no one gets into hot soup (or coffee) over this small boo-boo.
