Fine, we lied. We still want to be an opinion maker!

Anggun KL is one of those budget boutique hotels that you can’t help but stop and take pictures of. If you’re not checking in, head upstairs to its rooftop restolounge, Bubu. The environment is so supremely laid back you could easily curl up in a corner and read a book here too but it’s also makes a great place for a date over Asian cuisine without the inclusion of hawker-stall MSG or the intrusion of street peddlers.

Shopping malls be damned! But we’re not gonna hate on the clubs that are in them. While some clubs splurge on tacky themed-interiors and sleazy dancers, Vertigo has booked an interesting lineup of local and international DJs and music selectors. With 2 distinctive rooms, resident nights features the likes of Arabyrd, Asquared, VNRP, A-Rox, MC Vandal and more against a floor-to-ceiling LED backdrop that will melt your brain if you’re on acid. Bats!

Clubbers can learn a thing or 2 from this stylish Adrien. You’ll often see him looking his best from top to toe on a night about town. Sure, you could say that there those that dress “louder” than Adrien but honey, it doesn’t mean you’re stylish just because you’ve got an outfit that looked like this season’s trends puked on you. Pay them no mind, we can’t wait to see how his style will evolve next. Adrien, keep on pairing those fab heels with that clutch of yours.

Having been originally known for the pumping heavy music blowouts that were Mutant Mayhem, H3 has gained a mass following over the past year. Most notably exposing the KL scene to moomba, receiving much hype for his foray into dubstep production, and sharing the stage with a number of visiting international DJs, it’s safe to say it’s been a good year for H3, and for everyone (JUICE team included) that shared in the party with him.

We love it when creative collectives take inspiration from local slang (see Lansi) and culture to create something truly unique. Before Lansi caps and tees were born, there were the Pestle & Mortar photo tees. From their Indo Mee Telur and Lorong Haji Taib tee beginnings, they’ve gone on to branch out the Pestle & Mortar label through collabos with They Will Kill Us All, StyleKandi and Monsoon. Respect!

These 2 taukes make up half of Twilight Action Girl. Their supreme (ie: hipster) taste in music can be heard every Friday night @ Barsonic. But you already knew that, didn’t you? What you didn’t know is that they play at other non-hipster joints as well – Bunga’s spun at Kenchara Buddhist Centre and Ribut’s played DJ numerous times for Malaccan weddings (he’s also a datuk there, but only there).

With a pending collaboration with Pharrell, an MTV Iggy nomination, Russell Simmons’ cosign, and a critically-acclaimed cover of Nirvana’s ‘Come As You Are’, Yuna’s New York hustle has definitely paid off. JUICE is fully behind her, Anugerah Industri Muzik can eff-off.

Just kidding. Or are we?
