Since turning heads with her catchy single, ‘Got to Go’, singer-songwriter Najwa Mahiaddin has been pretty busy over the years. The Berklee graduate has moved from dabbling in a laid-back r’n’b landscape to experimenting with a darker, more minimal approach to her sound. This is evident in her latest release, Aurora EP, which sees her exploring electronic influences and arrangements. The multiple award-winning musician is ready to hop on the stage at The Bee next month for a night of intimate performances, all oozing that soulful charm we’ve all grown to love. Opening act Moslem Priest will be warming up the crowd before Najwa fills the venue with her soothing, sombre numbers, so don’t miss out.
Date Thursday 7 August ’14
