The Abandoned Country Fair
No country fair is complete without a multitude of people wearing tighter than tight jeans, drinking too much beer while dancing along to folk music. Okay, we may never get to experience a country fair that looks like it were built after a Rascal Flatt music video but what Gaslight Cafe is offering is intriguing. The night will see live performances by a couple of Singaporean artistes starting with folk band Hanging Up The Moon, then Hell Low — a folk rocker that labels his music as “depressing music.” Malaysian acts in the lineup include Karen Nunis, The Cotton Field Scarecrows, and Mystery Tapes. Gaslight Cafe is anticipating a huge turnout, so, best to secure tickets to avoid being kicked out from the barn.
