Soft Opening feat. Henry Holland + Bryanboy @ Musa

It was only Tuesday but that doesn’t mean you couldn’t party hard. When I got the invite to attend the soft opening of Musa store, I couldn’t say no. Henry Holland of House of Holland and infamous blogger Bryanboy would be here to celebrate the opening. So I put on my best clothes and braved myself against the Jalan Ampang crush and headed over to Musa at Avenue K. We got there in the nick of time for the fashion show. Phew!

The spot was beautifully made up, but man, it was packed and hot. Not exactly the perfect spot for a big crowd, I managed to find a place on the patio to catch a glass of champagne. Pink platform seats, pink backdrops and pink runway stage – it was fun and girly. Our Hanger cover girl Azura headlined the fashion show!

It was nice to see Bryanboy again after meeting him at Malaysia International Fashion Week (MIFW) 2 years back and yes, all eyes were on Henry Holland. Spotted were JUICE February 2010 cover girl Nini Ramlan, Arabyrd, Melissa Indot, Alex Eu, Cris Yong, Ming Wong, Vincent Paul Yong, Joyce Wong and a whole lot more familiar faces that you may recognise from the KL fashion scene.

After the fashion show, everyone headed over to Winter Bar at Quattro next door for the after-party . In true DJ Goldfish style, fun music was dished out, and when Henry joined him on the decks later on, the music just got campier. Everyone was singing along to Korean pop sensation The Wonder Girls’ ‘Nobody’, Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ and all things pop – it was all good amusement.

The champagne, wine and cocktails were free-flowing and kept me on the dancefloor all night long. Someone whispered to me, “I’ve been waiting for this kind of party!” If this was Musa’s soft opening, I couldn’t imagine what they have planned for the official launch!
