Sneaky Sound System: I Love It
UK may be a bit slow on the uptake when it comes to music on this side of the pond, but as Sneaky Sound System releases single ‘I Love It’ there this March, we reckon it’s an excellent time to revisit this brilliant track.
Consisting of Black Angus, MC Double D, Connie Mitchell, Peter Dolso, Jono Sloan and Felix Bloxsom, the music of Sneaky Sounds System was first introuced to JUICE by our former-Art Director Stephanie Goh, who has since up sticks and moved to Oz, where ‘I Love It’ holds the record for the longest charting single in Australian history at 73 weeks. Taken from the Sydney band’s 2006 self-titled debut album, the album went triple-platinum, while their second album 2 released last August currently resides at the top of the Australian charts.
5 remix heavyweights for some tasty remixes of the ‘I Love It’ single. French legend Fred Falke serves up an unadulterated electro funk pop monster, whilst Kenny Hayes provides an uplifting and lush melodic house number. Fellow Aussies, Bag Raiders retain the electro flavour with sprinkles of disco nuggets, lots of bleeps and a relentless noodly synth. Kitsune’s Beni goes heavy on the bass whilst retaining the vocal for a very 80s-infused and a lot moodier version than its predecessor, while the Clubstar mix turns it into a fast, furious and rather bouncy hard trance number.Â
‘I Love It’ is released on 16 March 2009 through 14th Floor Records. Listen at www.myspace.com/sneakysoundsystem.
