Serious and Fun, There’s Something For Every Runner at Great Eastern LIVE Great Run 2019!

Whether you’re joining a run because of fitness or simply to check a long-held ambition off your list, we can all agree that the experience is like no other. It can be a rollercoaster of emotions, both during training and on the day itself when you’re part of a sea of people running together, but once you’ve crossed the finish line, nothing can top that feeling of accomplishment.

Thanks to Great Eastern, you can experience the adrenaline by joining the 8th edition of their LIVE GREAT Run 2019, which is set to take place on 17 August 2019 at Bukit Jalil National Stadium. The event will start in the evening from 4pm to 10pm. What makes this run different is that it will be separated into 2 categories–one for serious runners, and another that features bubbles, water and even slime to amp up the fun.

For the passionate runners, you can join Great Eastern’s 12KM LIVE GREAT Run, but if you’re thinking about bringing along some friends/family or wanting a more casual route, you can join the 5KM Triple Fun Run.

The signature 12KM LIVE GREAT Run will challenge seasoned runners who aim to surpass their personal best by putting themselves to the test both mentally and physically. Better start training if you want to come out on top and get that RM1000 prize!

If you decide to join the 5KM Triple Fun Run, all we can say is – get ready to be splashed! You will be entering three unique zones that feature bubbles, slime and water, respectively.

Step into a wonderland of fluffy white foam when you run through the Bubble Zone, where you’ll also be showered by bubbles from all directions.

For the first time ever, the Triple Fun Run will be incorporating slime into their route, which is sure to bring out many excited squeals!

Interestingly enough, it’s not all about messy fun. When you get to the Water Zone, you’ve got to be fast to grab a water gun for the water washdown! Phew, at least you’re going to end the day clean!

You can also take tonnes of Instagram-worthy pics as you go along in these three zones! It’s moments like this that are best remembered with your loved ones. Your #OOTN running-fit will be popping when you take it at the light-tunnel (made of fairy lights) or at a giant snowglobe, or at a cute spot like this one below:

As Malaysians, what’s an event if there’s no makan-makan? Great Eastern has got you covered – there will be a trendy food festival, where runners and visitors alike can treat themselves to a host of delicious international cuisines after the run.
