Selangor Declares Public Holiday As PH & BN Clinch Victory In State Elections
Selangor is set to observe a public holiday on Monday, following the triumphant outcomes of the state elections by Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN).
According to the official results released by the Election Commission (EC), PH secured 31 seats, while BN added two more to the collective count. This consolidates the win for the PH-BN alliance, enabling a unified government to assume leadership in the state.
Perikatan Nasional (PN) secured 21 seats in the election, while the results for Kota Anggerik and Kuang remain pending. Earlier, EC Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Ghani Salleh confirmed PH’s victory in Selangor, with a decisive attainment of over 50 percent of the contested 56 seats in the August 12 polls.
