Save The Seals!

The annual seal hunt kicked off yesterday, and it’s plain terror over the icy shores of Canada. Over 205,000 seals were killed last year during the hunt. Can you imagine how many they kill a day? Man, they be trippin’ out! How could men have a heart to act out such abuse? Lush cosmetics is coming onboard to help ban the slaughter. But why would a soap company care about the seal hunt?

Lush’s beliefs come from the heart, and Lush firmly believes that animals are to be taken care of and not abused. Animal cruelty is a big no-no to them. Now Lush is hitting hard with this campaign to end the cruel Canadian Commercial Seal Hunt. JUICE seconds that. Recent polls show that nearly 69% of Canadians and nearly 80% of Americans are opposed to the seal hunt. The seal hunt, obviously demonstrating animal cruelty, is essentially sanctioned by the Canadian government. Yet, the government continues to spend millions of Canadian taxpayers dollars to help support it. Sick.

The good people at Lush cosmetics is urging people to sign an online petition to ban this slaughter. But they’re not stopping at that. No, they’re taking a bigger step by donating 100% of the proceeds from the sale of their First Swim Limited Edition Bubble Bar to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, a non-profit organisation that seeks to end the slaughter of wildlife in the world’s oceans.

While JUICE doesn’t always condone the politically incorrectness of South Park, it does speak some truth in regards to their “Blame Canada!” stance.

Show support and sign the online petition at www.lush.com/saveourseals. That’s the least you can do.
