Rye Rye Bangs
Check out the first official single from Baltimore native, Rye Rye. The 18 year-old rapper/dancer was the first artist signed to MIA’s record label NEET and her debut album, Go! Pop! Bang! is set to hit stores later on this year. ‘Bang’ was produced by DJ Blaqstarr and is described as a club/dance mix.
Here’s a behind the scene of the making of Rye Rye’s crazy ‘Bang’ video.

Most of us would know Rye Rye from her Crookers Remix for Diplo-produced ‘Wassup Wassup’ and you’d probably recognise it from a Lapsap or Foulworks set. Her debut was actually set to drop March 2009, but it hasn’t. We predict that it’ll be a riot of an album with tunes to make you all-crazy just listening to it. Rye Rye described her sounds as ‘unique, hard-hitting,” saying “anything thrown I can handle it.’
MIA calls her mad energy a ‘pitbull’ and JUICE totally agrees. The newcomer to the scene began performing when she’s only 16, toured with ‘big sister’ MIA in 2007 and early 2008, and then briefly with Afrikan Boy. She appeared on MIA’s infamous ‘Paper Planes’ with Afrikan Boy on the Homeland Security Remixes EP and a whole lotta other projects.
This new single ‘Bang’ featuring MIA appears on the Fast & Furious soundtrack and was played during the credits. Sweet! She’s a force to be reckoned with. Watch out!
