If Toro Y Moi had a rebellious sister, she’d be Ryat’s vocalist Christina McGeehan. Together with multi-instrumentalist/producer Tim Conley, the Philly duo creates music that we like to refer to as dream glitch.

At times, they sound like an ADD chillwaver, but a better approximation would be Björk-ish trip hop. However, if you dig beneath-the-layers vocals, abstruse programming and editing, and MIDI keyboards, you’d find pure soul courtesy of Christina’s ethereal voice and songwriting mastery that reveal songs within songs.
