Now synonymous with cutting edge British music types like Pete Doherty and Damon Albarn rather than the champion winning grass courts stylings from which this sportswear brand first emerged, Fred Perry Laurel’s latest collection looks to provide more wardrobe fodder for snappy disaffected fanboys and girls.

Key silhouettes this season remains form-fittingly long and skinny while colour palettes include red, black and rose, with checks turning up on shirts and jackets in both men’s and womens’ collections. Girls will continue to pour themselves into skinny jeans and tailored cigarette pants while V-neck cardigan and tee dresses make a new play for attention and will look great worn with bare legs or with this season’s sheer leggings and pointy-toed flats. The V-neck long sleeve cardi worn with tailored pants in grey or black looks to emerge as a staple look for men and is given a cheeky flourish with a flash of yellow.

Fred Perry Laurel collection will be available at M at the Gardens at the end of February.
