Planning a holiday as a Muslim traveller just got a whole lot easier.

REV Media Group has launched Halal Travel, a new campaign built to empower and inspire Muslim globetrotters with practical, faith-conscious content and tools.

Running from May to December 2025, the campaign is led by four of REV’s popular platforms: My Resipi, Sirap Limau, VOCKET, and Waktu Solat Malaysia. Each one brings a different strength to the table, creating a complete digital ecosystem that helps Muslims travel comfortably, confidently, and without compromise.

“Travel is highly encouraged in Islam, but many Muslim travellers still struggle with basics like finding halal food or nearby prayer spaces,” said Muhamad Shaifullah Tayep, Senior Sponsored Content Writer at REV Media Group. “This campaign is about making all of that easier and helping people feel spiritually secure while they explore the world.”

One campaign. Four platforms. Endless possibilities.

This isn’t just a travel guide with a halal label slapped on. Halal Travel is a purpose-driven digital initiative designed to meet real needs on the road, from solo adventurers to family travellers.

My Resipi focuses on the halal foodie experience with destination-specific food guides, street food finds and DIY travel meals for home chefs who travel with their taste buds.

Sirap Limau speaks to families, offering kid-friendly destination ideas, dining spots and Muslim parenting hacks for navigating holidays with little ones.

VOCKET is for the solo traveler, the backpacker, the one chasing budget hacks and hidden gems. Think off-the-radar halal eats, underrated cities, and survival tips for moving through unfamiliar places.

Waktu Solat Malaysia is the spiritual anchor of the campaign. It keeps travellers grounded with real-time prayer times and Qibla direction, so no matter where you are, you’ll know when and where to pray.

Together they form a digital travel companion that blends religious observance with the spirit of adventure.

Travel with intention

Muslim travellers are one of the fastest-growing segments in global tourism, yet still face challenges in finding resources that reflect their beliefs. This campaign wants to change that by making halal travel more visible, accessible, and seamless.

“It’s not just about food,” said Shaifullah. “It’s about making Muslim travellers feel respected and supported, especially in unfamiliar environments.”

The platform offers pre-planned guides with halal eateries, nearby prayer locations, culturally respectful activities, and spiritual travel ideas. It also provides navigation tips, airport hacks, and safety pointers to make every journey smoother and more secure.

At the heart of it all is the campaign’s microsite at www.myresipi.com/halaltravelmy. This is where it all comes together. From halal street food recommendations and local etiquette guides to scenic nature walks and art markets, the site is structured around three simple pillars: food, travel tips, and, activities.

The platform also includes digital tools like a Qibla finder and live prayer schedules, powered by Waktu Solat Malaysia, so users never miss a prayer regardless of time zone.

“This content is meant to be used, not just scrolled past. It’s something you bring with you,” Shaifullah added.

The campaign will roll out in three phases over the year.

Phase 1 runs from May to June and focuses on budget-friendly trips for those who want to travel without emptying their wallets.

Phase 2, from July to September, highlights wellness and spiritual retreats for travellers looking to reconnect and recharge.

Phase 3, from October to December, spotlights family-friendly getaways for the school holidays with options that work for all ages.

Whether you’re planning a food crawl through Penang or a prayerful escape to the hills of Bandung, Halal Travel is here to guide the way.
