A new development means a new beginning and SohoKL at Solaris Mont’ Kiara is just that. Of the multitude of dining and drinking options the place has thrown up, Raw is the area’s standout venue.

A Melbourne-inspired cocktail bar, it takes its trade seriously so you can trust that skimming is a no no, and the drinks are top. A Melbourne mixologist whips up some outstanding thirst quenchers including originals like the Blood Orange & Passionfruit Martini and the Forgotten Soul. Sure, it’s a little pricey in these lean times, but it’s the quality that counts, and the place has since gone on to win JUICE’s Best Cocktails 08 award — and we’re pretty serious about our drinks!

Murmur Lounge is located upstairs and is the spot to take refuge in if you’re a  wine and cigar lover. There’s also a good range of French and Italian tapas and tasty pizzas if you have the munchies. Already home to some blinding regular nights with some of the city’s finest, we’re tipping this the place to be if you want to avoid the rush hour jam, and alongside joints like The Attic and Frangipani, as we predicted (thanks, psychic friend!) Raw even looks to have the potential to redefine cocktail culture here in Malaysia. Stir it up!
