With their mission to serve underprivileged communities and provide employment to those in need of jobs, Kedai BLESS continues to give back to the society.

At Kedai BLESS, you can donate pre-loved items such as books, handbags, costume jewellery, appliances, furniture and clothes that are in good condition.

The proceeds earned from the social enterprise go to funding meals for refugee children, funding drug rehabilitation centres and donation of household items to Orang Asli settlements in different areas.

Speaking to Malay Mail, Senior Operations Tina Chong said, “It is important for us to serve those in need, and even for the refugee children, we give them funds so that the money can be used to buy meals and to support their learning centres.”

A project by SIBKL church, Kedai BLESS now has five branches throughout Klang Valley. They first opened their doors in Bandar Tasik Selatan before expanding to malls like Mid-Valley Megamall and Citta Mall.

Tina also added that the pandemic did not stop people from donating to their outlets which made them lucky unlike some businesses that have suffered during the movement control order.

With items priced as low as RM5, they have established a good repertoire with their returning customers. “Our customer base is one that we have established over the years. Many who donated items also come back to buy our products from us,” she said.

Many branded companies would also donate clothes with minor defects, to which Kedai BLESS will sell at reasonable prices according to the condition of the garments.
