If you read last year’s ‘Best Of’ issue, then you may or may not have noticed that we’ve bestowed ‘Best Bar’ to the quaint bar along Jalan Sin Chew Kee. The venue will be hosting a bi-monthly series called Piring-Piring, you know, like how vinyl records and plates are similarly shaped. So patrons will not only be able to support indie vendors selling food and vinyl records, but also be treated to vinyl-only DJ sets. To inaugurate the event, Arabyrd, Aggroboss Soundsystem (featuring Eddie of Gerhana Skacinta), and Ali Johan of KILLEUR CALCULATEUR will be working the decks. Also, limited to only the first 20 attendees, these lucky people will be treated to a special showcase by Liyana Fizi and the Fridays.
