We mentioned sometime ago that Pioneer’s 14th edition of its DJ Battle would be happening during the later part of the year. Well, it’s finally time. As always, they’re on the lookout for new DJs that have a burning passion to hype crowds, produce music, and contribute to the nightlife scene, essentially.  The panel of judges this year are some of our local EDM champs Goldfish & Blink, underground hero Victor G, DJ Battle alumnus Ben Cracko — who coincidentally won JUICE’s DJ of the year back in 2006 — and Cyrix Leong, who’s not a DJ himself, but is one of the important dudes involved in this event. The event is open and free to public, however, if you’re one of the first 150 guest that walk in with its Guest Pass, you’ll be in the running to win a mystery prize. With sponsors like Gatsby, Puma, and Heineken, the gift shouldn’t be anything short of “pretty awesome” since the aforementioned brands have a reputation for creating products we use frequently. Download the pass here, fill it up and bring it to the venue — it’s really that simple. Early birds will be able to enjoy free drinks and door gifts, so be the early bird and catch the worm.
