VIDEO: Pinery Films’ Odds and Ends Will Make You Want to Pick Up Film Photography
There’s been a resurgence of film photography in the last few years and we’re here for it. One of the more exciting aspects of film photography — aside from collecting beautiful kits — is being able to anticipate the moment that’s equivalent to a thousand words. Great photographers need to have incredibly sharp observational skills as seen with street photographer Daniel Arnold. Brooklyn-based filmmakers Mika Altskan and Matvey Fiks document Daniel capturing “humanity-revealing glory” moments through five boroughs in New York. This short highlights Daniel’s methods of documenting the city’s compelling energy while possibly igniting potential interest to its viewer to do the same of their own cities.
