Pav Savvy

We can’t help but be partial to Midvalley Megamall, seeing as it’s only a few steps (we seriously can count the steps from the JUICE HQ to the mall) away. However, up sprung Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and now… to be completely honest, we’ve been swayed. And you can’t blame us, given its bright, new interior – it even smells new. Besides, where else in KL would you find a neatly-displayed F21? That’s all the convincing we need. As if the folks heading Pavilion haven’t already done enough, the mall is now branching out to newer, greener pastures.

For starters, they’re now providing a much-needed platform enabling aspiring artists an outlet to showcase their talents and bond over their shared passion for the arts. Look out for this from 6pm to 10pm every Wednesday, or “Artsy Wednesday”, as they have been affectionately dubbed. Watch on as talented street art painters spin their magic along walkways. Interested in purchasing their art works? Step right up and do so. Aside from that, there will be a colourful display of performances ranging from mime statuettes to costumed talents.

Another installment, “Fabulous Thursday” sees to rewarding ladies for making it through most of the working week with special privileges, including free drinks at their favourite selected outlets. Of course what’s a celebration of womanhood without gooey, chocolatey goodness? In tune with that, Theobroma Chocolate Lounge now offers a 10% discount on all chocolates from 7pm to 9pm. Not too shabby huh. Also, the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is offering a special promotion of a free small ice-blended drink with the purchase of every regular-sized ice-blended drink. Drink up, ladies.

Come Friday, expect to experience “Friday Beat” in full swing, complete with drum percussion performances. Eat, shop, or just hang out with friends to the irresistible beats of local percussions. You don’t need to go all the way to museums to experience culture. Not that we’re suggesting boycotting them altogether.

Interested in interacting with both local and international guests while displaying your artsy prowess? Two birds, one stone. Contact them at 2118 8888 for more info.
