CREATIVE HAVEN
Creative spaces seem to be the up and coming trend in KL. We have one to add to the list because they are well worth it. We introduce, Paradox Art Cafe. It’s located in shop lots that aren’t too hard to find if you look up directions beforehand or you could call the number and ask for directions – the staff’s helpful! This place shouldn’t be called a ‘cafe’ as it caters for almost everything ‘creative’ people need. There’s space for art/photograph exhibitions, a stage for unplugged nights for rising local musicians. And you can eat there while doing any of the above! They’re principle is “we don’t serve food that we wouldn’t eat.” So you’re guaranteed a good meal and if you aren’t satisfied with it, you are welcome to give them opinions on how they can improve. You can also use Paradox as a means of networking and putting your work out there. For example, you have mad baking skills, head over and let ’em try it and see if they can help you sell it. Paradox is also a great place for your friends or family just to chill. There’s a foosball table if you want to play a game too! Price range is between RM10 to RM40. Win-win situation, right? We thought so too. You can thank us once you’ve become known (if you’re a baker… we like sweet things)!

CLIENTELE: Anyone that enjoys food, drinks, reading, looking at photographs, hanging out and listening to good music – That’s probably everyone.

MUSIC: Depends on the staffs’ mood, ‘Time After Time’ could be playing now and the next could be Kesha’s ‘Tik Tok’. (But they have a good selection of classics!)

DRINKS: They’ve soft drinks, juices, wine but no cocktails. So don’t go there if you’re looking for a cosmopolitan. Recommended drinks: Paradox Iced Coffee.

EATS: A wide variety! Western, Asian Fusion, Chinese, Italian, Sandwiches – you won’t leave hungry. Recommended eats: Mushroom soup (made from scratch!) Cheese-bake rice, Chicken Chop, Lamb cutlets, Garlic bread.

PARKING: No fee.
