Beer wonderland
Overtime is to beer drinkers what Disneyland is to kids. Enter through the monster Starker beer barrel that doubles up as a door and be transported into a dreamy realm where your only concern is who’s buying the next round. The ceiling is decked out with twinkling lights and the stage wall which is simultaneously creepy and cool is decorated with the disembodied hands (of mannequins – we hope). A large al fresco area provides a vantage point to watch Sultan Ismail traffic snail by.

Clientele After-work crowd, jam jumpers, beer fans, tourists.

Music Mostly commercial RnB with daily live band performances by Da Remix from USA and Suresh & Friends. DJ TheShortShortMan spins on Friday and Saturday, DJ Sean hits it on Thursday and DJ Devan drops it every other day. In terms of sounds it’s Mambo Jambo on Monday, hip hop on Tuesday and retro on Wednesday.

Happy Hour Twin bottle promotions are available every Friday and Saturday but go for the specialty fresh German beer called Starker.

Food Predominantly meat dishes.

Dress Code The fashion police are on patrol. No slippers, sandals or any footwear of that kind. No cut or torn denim.

Open 3pm to 3am daily.

Door Policy A cover charge is levied on Fridays, Saturdays and eves of and public holidays.

Parking Park at the Life Centre or jockey it for RM15 (upwards).
