Ou Est Le Swimming Pool presents Chazzstock

Chazzstock, a music concert to be held in memory of Chazz Haddon, frontman of Ou Est Le Swimming Pool will be taking place at Koko on Camden High Street in London next month. The concert is to be a celebration of the former frontman’s life, who sadly passed away on the 20th of August this year. The money made from this event will go toward Mind, UK’s leading mental health charity that specifically targets younger people. The line up will be featuring many artists who were part of Chazz’s life and bright musical career; The Kooks, Man Like Me, Eddy Temple Morris, Nat Jerkin, Mpho, Daisy Dares You, Kissy Sell out and many more to be announced.

As an artist, musician, songwriter and performer, Chazz Haddon touched a lot of people’s lives through his affable nature, boundless enthusiasm and thirst for fun. Primarily, it was his qualities as a human being firstly, not only his musical talents that makes this such a great loss. This tragic incident has shaken up the music world and Chazzstock will be a great way to celebrate the life of this talented, yet haunted musician and also a way to raise money for Mind. Those who had the pleasure to know Chazz knew him as a warm conversationalist, possessing genuine charm and a man with whom countless happy memories, musical or otherwise were shared. It is a shame to have lost such a promising young musician in the industry.

Each artist/band in Chazzstock will be covering a track from Ou Est Le Swimming Pool’s upcoming album, The Golden Year, as well as performing some of their own songs. The concert will be held on the 4th of October 2010 at Koko, where the band had their first gig back in 2009. Ou Est Le Swimming Pool will be releasing their debut album The Golden Year on the 3rd of October this year. The band has also released a video for their next single ‘The Key’, made from footage of their last performance the Pukkelpop festival this year, featured below.

Tickets for Chazzstock are £10, from Ticketweb, Gigantic or Crowdsurge. To donate to Mind, go to www.Mind.org.uk/donate. For more information on Chazzstock, go to www.koko.uk.com or www.myspace.com/ouestleswimmingpool.
