Ophilia is Malaysia’s first commercially-released film (the first film honour goes to Gedebe) about skinheads that was released late last year. The movie aimed to debunk the misconception of the misunderstood subculture as it was based on the bond of the three main characters played by Pekin Ibrahim, Que Haidar, and Kodi Rasheed. We suggest you get yourself educated on the skinhead culture by going to see the movie on the screen once again, and while you’re at it, there will even be a gig there featuring all the relevant genre-appropriate bands. So there, consider your weekend booked.
