Livescape Asia’s monthly NSFW at Vertigo Club is quite possibly the most consistent club event quality-wise. After getting dubstep gods Skream and Benga to our shores last January, bringing the house down with what we’re guessing was the highest amount of people ever in Vertigo on a single night, they done did it again in February – they brought Canada’s renowned house DJ, the Turbo General himself, Tiga!

The night was warmed up by Vertigo’s resident DJ early on, which didn’t see that many people crowding the venue just yet. While initially the crowd was nowhere in the same magnitude as during Skream & Benga, it picked up by 11.30pm just in time for local house heroes HypeEmBeats and Jee Hoe’s set, truly kicking off the night with sasau-inducing tunes.

Despite playing much longer than expected, getting everyone all the more pumped up for Tiga’s turn on the decks, they never outstayed their welcome. However when it was time for Tiga to go up the stage, the night went full on insane. The dance floor filled up immediately and if anyone hadn’t understood why this man won Juno Awards’ Best Dance Record in 2007, they did on the night.

Playing some of his famous remixes and some brand new materials, Tiga satisfied all our EDM cravings. With Skream & Benga and Tiga, 2012 is off to an awesome threesome start for NSFW. JUICE can’t wait to see who’s up next!
